RAM Mounts Pin-Lock Security Kit for D & E Size Socket Arms and Gimbal Brackets

The RAP-S-NUT5-GU replaces the knob on 2.25″/3.38″ diameter D/E size arms and gimbal bracket. The RAP-S-NUT5-GU offers the ideal amount of leverage to properly tighten your mount to prevent slippage in heavy chop or in extreme vibration environments. With an emphasis on aesthetics and function, the RAP-S-NUT5-GU is low in profile and only adds a small amount of additional bulk to your system when compared to the standard knob included. At a fraction of the cost of currently available keyed locking knobs, the additional peace of mind and tamper resistance comes at a very affordable price. The RAP-S-NUT5-GU is the perfect accessory for keeping your mounted electronic device safe from theft and tampering.

For an extra tight grip, RAM recommends the RAM-KNOB9HU Hi-Torq^™ wrench. For larger ‘D’ size mounting solutions, RAM^® utilizes a larger knob that offers the ideal amount of leverage to properly tighten your mount to prevent slippage in heavy chop or in extreme vibration environments. Use the cold weather wrench to tighten the mount for optimal performance. Aftermarket locking knobs are not capable of tightening the RAM^® Mount to the required tension to perform in high vibration applications. The addition of an aftermarket knob will make the mount not compatible with the cold weather wrench and will not be able to tighten properly.
