The Lift Assist Booster for MinnKota will make deploying and retrieving your Fortrex or Ultrex trolling motor almost effortless

The components consist of two (2) 40 lb gas spring lifts, an aluminum bottom spring holding bracket, an aluminum top spring holding bracket, a black polyethylene base plate measuring 25″ x 5-3/4″ x 1/4″ and a trolling motor ramp to fit a 45″ shaft trolling motor or a black polyethylene base plate measuring 28″ x 5-3/4″ x 1/4″ and a trolling motor ramp for a 52″ or 60″ shaft trolling motor. The Lift Assist Booster is not suitable for MinnKota PowerDrive trolling motors because the deck mounting bracket is different.

Approximately 1-1/2″ clearance is needed between the bow panel shroud and trolling motor bracket. If there is less than 1-1/2″ clearance, we offer a “Riser Kit” to overcome this problem. A Riser Kit is an additional $99.95 and consists of 3 or 4 Polyethylene 1/2″ boards which will sit and be spaced out under the lift assist board. All of the components improve the working mechanism of the trolling motor brackets. The polyethylene base bracket features a cut out on the underside to accommodate the tie down strap and lift assist bottom spring holding bracket. The poly bracket is secured by two 1/4″ bolts on the trolling motor bracket onto the boat deck. This feature keeps the trolling motor bracket level on the deck and improves the locking mechanism and eliminates “stiff” unlocking. It’s a breeze to lift the trolling motor when suddenly in shallow water and the lift cord will last longer too.

The Lift Assist Booster comes standard with two 40 lb gas spring lifts. The spring lifts keep the trolling motor properly centered which helps to minimize any rattling vibration of the trolling motor bracket mechanism, because the spring lifts absorb the slack on the trolling motor mechanism.
