Description

The WG-SS2-G wedge is built with black polyethylene marine grade plastic and is designed to put the transducer at the correct angle when the boat is in the water. It is made to be used along with the Transducer Shields TG-DS-VU, TG-DS-8.4, TG-HG-8.8 and TG-DS-9 when attaching to the hole shot plate (also known as a baffle plate) underneath the jack plate. A transducer CANNOT be attached directly to the wedge and must be purchased with the appropriate Transducer Shield.

The WG-SS2-G wedge is not a good candidate for jack plates that are built at a 90º degree angle with the transom (such as Atlas and some Pro Hi Jacker jack plates). For these jack plates we recommend installing the Transducer Shield® and an L Bracket on the side of your jack plate. Please call if you need assistance choosing an L Bracket.

The WG-SS2-G wedge when attached to a Transducer Shield® can also be installed on the set back/step under the hull.

Please note that when the transducer is attached to a set back, hole shot plate or the side of a jackplate, it will not track the bottom when up on plane because the transducer is out of the water. For bottom reading on plane, a transducer inside the hull will be required.
